New To Divine Mercy?

Welcome!

For I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.

— Matthew 25:35
Welcome to Divine Mercy Parish!  We are a parish with two worship sites: Sacred Heart Church in Winnetka and St. Philip the Apostle Church in Northfield.  The two churches combined in July of 2018 to form one new Parish as a part of the Renew My Church efforts in the Archdiocese of Chicago.  You can read more about our history here.

As disciples of Christ, we are dedicated to expressing our faith through praying, sharing, growing and belonging. We strive to live up to the vision of our parish:

Divine Mercy Parish is a Welcoming Community that Inspires Disciples of Jesus to Share God’s Love and Transform the World.

We are rooted in, and sustained by, prayer and the celebration of the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Prayer and worship are the core of our faith community.  They provide us with spiritual nourishment and unite us as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Sharing is a way of life at Divine Mercy. We share through service and presence.  We share beyond our borders, within the Archdiocese of Chicago and in our own faith community.  It’s a priority for all, no matter the age. Generosity and compassion are the hallmarks of our parishioners.

Growing in our faith enables us to know Christ more deeply. Our school, children’s ministry programs, and adult formation/education programs, including Alpha, all provide opportunities for that continued growth.

Divine Mercy is a place of belonging. All are welcome and invited to come together as the Body of Christ whether it be at Mass, a session of Alpha, a social event in the parish or an opportunity for adult formation and education. Building bonds with each other helps us to sustain our life in Christ, and allows us to make disciples, build up the church and serve others.
