Anointing The Sick

The Healing Touch of Jesus

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is given to people who are seriously ill.  This sacrament is not only for those persons who are near death.  If someone receives this sacrament and recovers, they are able to receive the sacrament again in case of a grave illness in the future.

The sacrament is also intended to heal the tensions, fears and anxieties that affect the mind and, consequently, the body as well. Persons suffering from addictions, psychological disorders, anxiety before serious surgery, debilitating fears for self or family, anguish over a loved one dying or other similar circumstances may request the healing touch of Jesus in the Sacrament of Anointing.

The celebration of this Sacrament proclaims that all of us, as a community of faith, accept the limitations of our humanity and place our lives in Jesus' hands.

If you would like to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, or if you would like to make arrangements for a member of your family to be anointed, please contact the Parish Office.
