Divine Mercy’s two worship sites, Sacred Heart and St. Philip the Apostle, conducted capital campaigns before they combined in 2018 to become Divine Mercy Parish.
In conjunction with the Archdiocesan launch of To Teach Who Christ Is (TTWCI) capital campaign, Sacred Heart conducted an independent capital campaign, with the active solicitation phase beginning in early 2017. Sacred Heart exceeded its goal of $2.87MM, with actual pledges totaling $3.1MM. Most pledges were made over a 3-year period, with a portion stretching to 5 years. Likewise, St. Philip the Apostle conducted its own TTWCI campaign in 2015. with pledges of over $1MM, nearly doubling the goal of $550K.
The campaigns at both worship sites addressed deferred capital maintenance issues. As stipulated in the Renew My Church process, all campaign monies remain at the original site and are used for the intended purposes as noted in the original case statements.
To date, the following improvements have been completed in conjunction with the two capital campaigns:

Divine Mercy Parish will continue to report to parishioners any monies spent in conjunction with the Capital Campaigns of Sacred Heart and St. Philip the Apostle.

- Replacement of Slate Roof Tiles on Church and Rectory

- Refurbishment of School Gymnasium
- Significant Sewer Cleanout and Repair
- Multiple Sump Pump Replacements
- Replacement of Rectory Boiler
- Refurbishment of Church Sound System
