Divine Mercy offers many opportunities for Adult Faith Formation and education throughout the year.  Watch Parish News and Events on our website, the parish bulletin or subscribe to the parish e-blast to receive the most up to date information regarding upcoming events.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Our primary method of Adult Faith Formation at Divine Mercy Parish is Alpha. We encourage all parishioners, visitors, curious neighbors or anyone desiring to know more about the bigger questions in life to attend Alpha. Our Alpha sessions run during the fall and spring. TRI-PARISH EVENTS & SPEAKERS
​Divine Mercy works with the other parishes on the Northshore, including Sts. Faith Hope & Charity, and Sts. Joseph and Francis Xavier, to offer spiritual and educational programming.  This tri-parish grouping offers joint reconciliation services, Lenten Missions, as well as spiritual, social and educational opportunities.  These events are posted on our Parish New & Events page.

​Bible Study with Rev. John Kartje Continues in 2025-26 - Join Us!

​Join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.in the Divine Mercy Parish Center at Sacred Heart Church (see dates below) for a Bible Study led by Fr. John Kartje, Rector of Mundelein Seminary and President of the University of St. Mary of the Lake.

Fr. Kartje was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2002. He's earned multiple degrees: A BA in Mathematics, a BS in Physics, a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and finally a Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Catholic University of America in 2010.

The Chosen

​We gather for dinner, an episode of The Chosen, and then break out into small groups to discuss the episode, led by parishioner facilitators.  We will gather again in the Fall of 2025 to watch Season 5.  Stay tuned for dates!

Dinner & A Movie - Let's Talk!

We met for dinner and watched Cabrini, One Life, Same Kind of Different as Me, and Nomadland, as each provoked interesting questions for discussion after each session.  Watch this site for future movie gatherings.
