Thanksgiving at St. Columbanus
A Thanksgiving Tradition!
The St. Columbanus Food Pantry typically serves 400-500 families every Wednesday. The Pandemic has increased their numbers, as more and more people are in need. Divine Mercy parishioners typically serve this outreach ministry on the day before Thanksgiving. This year is no different, yet the number of volunteers is limited to 25 in order to keep people safe and social distance from one another. Divine Mercy typically sends 50 volunteers every year, so available slots this year are half! Thus, if you'd like to help out at St. Columbanus on the day before Thanksgiving, please sign up here. Keep in mind, fresh produced delivered from the Chicago Food Depository is packaged that morning, beginning at xxxx. |
"Christmas Sharing is the outreach effort that receives the most participation among all of our parishioners." |
