Visit our ALPHA page here for information, dates, times, and registration.
If you've already participated in ALPHA, think about who you'll invite! Thank you for shopping for school supplies so that a child at one of our sharing parishes – St. Moses the Black or St. Benedict the African – can have nice new items as they begin their new school year!
We have three recommended options: 1. Shop for one child (or more), supplying them with all the essentials. All the supplies may be placed in the backpack. You can bring filled backpacks to Mass with you and drop them off near the entrance to the church between July 19 -August 3, 2025. The list follows. · Backpack, 17 in., plain or with school-appropriate design · Pre-sharpened #2 Pencils (box of 12) · Crayola Fine Line Markers, 10 Count Package · Crayola Broad Line Markers, Classic Colors, 10 Count Package · Crayola Colored Pencil Set, Assorted Colors, 36 Count Package · Crayola Crayons, 24 Count Box · Pink Wedge Erasers, 3 Count Package · Blue Ballpoint Pens, Medium Point, 10 Count Package · Post-it Notes, 3x3 in., 3-Pad Package · Highlighters, Assorted Colors, 5 Count · Package Low-Odor Dry Erase Markers, Chisel Tip, Assorted Colors, 4 Count Package · Glue Sticks, 3 Count Package · Kids Scissors, Blunt Tip, 5 in. · 1 Subject, Wide Ruled Notebooks, 6 in Assorted Colors · Two-Pocket Folders, 6 in Assorted Colors · Other school-appropriate items of your choice 2. Use our Amazon Wish List – We also have a list of items we can order in bulk via Amazon. Those items will be delivered to the parish office, and our volunteers will transport them to the sharing parishes. For the wish list link, use the QR code above or click here. 3. Donate Money – If you would like to donate money so that the sharing parishes can purchase school supplies, please place your donation in an envelope marked “Sharing Parishes School Supplies” and bring it to Mass or to the Parish Office. Checks should be made out to Divine Mercy Parish, and we will make sure that all funds go to the sharing parishes. Note: donations will be collected from July 19th through August 3rd. Come help us pack 300 sack dinners for the hungry and homeless. They'll be shared with our community partner, A Just Harvest. Join us Monday, July 7th, from 7-8 p.m. in the Parish Center. All ages are welcome! Let's teach our young people about service in the Catholic Church! Register here so we know how many packing stations to create. Thanks! (Some of our June crew is pictured above.)
Many thanks to parishioner Jim Carey for always taking the best pictures at Uncle Pete's! Join us for Mass this weekend (July 5 and 6) and meet our new Pastor! We're hosting hospitality after our 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Masses this weekend, too! Come join us!
